Today Mama and Temu went to the Smith College Museum of Art for Family Day. The museum is really lovely and has a great collection - not too big or too small. Mama thought our visit would either last 10 minutes or significantly longer. We were there for nearly 1 1/2 hours and saw all exhibits and every gallery; Temu loved it. It was very fun seeing the art through his eyes - he loved paintings with people and animals (esp animals for which he can make the sound...) and really liked the sculptures and marble carvings. I did point out the one piece of Ethiopian art that they had, but it didn't compare to the Greek vases, which he had a particular interest in. This certainly won't be our last visit, especially with winter on its way.
Temu loved the stairs - their artsy banisters were helpful for kids of all heights.
The museum has a great collection of benches scattered throughout - kids were allowed to sit, crawl, and climb on them.
Drooling at the amazing art - or just drooling because of more teeth making their way in?
