Day 217--Halloween! retroactive post

The overnight was COLD and DARK.  By historical standards, our ordeal was rather minor, but for 21st century people going without heat, electricity, and hot water gets old by the third day.  Temu is pictured here in his new "pajamas", which actually consisted of diaper, socks,  onesy, long underwear, full body snap outfit and slippers, full body soft pajamas, hat and vest.  Diaper changes took a long time!

We made a break for Greenfield, where it was rumored they had power and functional gas stations.  The rumors were true, and we had our first ever breakfast at Friendly's.  We had by now added a cow suit (he was now T-mooooooo!) to our baby for warmth, and that paid off handsomely when we found out that all children in costume at Friendly's on Halloween eat for $1.99.  Temu went big.  Everyone was happy!

Wondering why the power took so long to come back on?  Look who National Grid (the power company) hired to do their line work!  Temu works hard, but seriously???

Then it was off to the Greenfield YMCA for showers and basketball.  Here's T-mooooo launching up a 3-pointer.  It came up short.

Northampton officially postponed Halloween trick or treating because of the danger from downed power lines, however we were undeterred and headed up to Joeli's to trick or treat and be in her warm house.

We trick or treated exactly one house (Joeli's).  Temu, momma, and dada all had a great time.
