Sweet Temu: 2 short stories
*Names have not been changed and all parts of stories are from real life*
This morning mama accidentally hit the back of her hand on the doorknob to her bedroom. "Ouch!!" cried mama. Mama explained to Temu, her young son, that she had an owie on her hand. Looking rather alarmed, Temu dropped the very exciting box he was playing with, toddled over to his mama, and gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Oh, sweet Temu.
Later in the day, after the rain had stopped and the sun (amazingly) came out, Temu and mama went for a walk. Mama foolishly thought they could avoid the puddles, but soon realized that that was just a crazy idea. Temu played, splashed, and even got his toes wet. After a long time playing and when Temu was mostly soaked, mama told Temu that it was time to saddle up his wagon and head home. Temu obliged, taking steps toward his wagon. He did not push his wagon long when he stopped, looked back longingly at his puddle friend, and waved good-bye and blew a kiss to the puddle.
Oh, sweet Temu.
Later it was bath time. First it was blow bubbles time, then it was "uh oh where'd the washcloth go?".
