Day 153

Well, the hurricane made her way up the coast and gave us lots of rain and lots of wind.  We lost power for a couple hours this morning, but it came back on and has stayed on since.  We have no major damage to report - lots of leaves on the ground as well as some sticks, but that's about it.  Temu and mama had a LOT of indoor time today.  Temu loves to be outside - it was difficult to explain to him that there was a hurricane outside and therefore we could not go outside to play, especially as he was standing at the front door wiggling the door knob.  Never fear, tomorrow's forecast looks sunshiny so we'll make up for today's lost outside time.  We did have some fun while indoors, though!
Temu's first wooden train - been saving it for a rainy day, so today was perfect!
Mama made Temu a ball-pit while he was napping.

Two great things happened in the afternoon:

#1 The rain stopped, the wind slowed, and the sun came out!

#2 Daddy came home!

**We also need to give a huge SHOUT-OUT to Uncle Mark, who completed another 100-mile (because of a trail-detour due to weather the run was closer to 110 miles) ultra trail run, the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc in Chamonix.  Besides just running for 110 miles, the conditions sounded pretty fierce (rain, snow, mud) as well as the vertical climbs.  He even finished as the 10th American (out of 70) - outstanding!  We can't wait to hear all the details! Mama hopes to run another 1/2 marathon with Uncle Mark again!
